Nicole is a Richmond-based artist and designer with a penchant for the fantastical. She likes painting her face as much as a canvas, and her favorite past time is faking an English accent. Indeed, you will just as soon find her on a stage as in a gallery, as she is also an accomplished actress and circus performer. It is her belief that much of her artistic insanity comes from being exposed to the works of Brian Froud, David Bowie, and Tim Curry at too young an age.

Nicole graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Arts. Her work has been published in two fantasy art books as well as Faerie Magazine, and the "Loving Language Baby Books" series in 2015. She has also displayed her work at many faires and cons on the East Coast. Her primary mediums include watercolors, acrylic, and pen and ink, but she also enjoys working on costumes and 3D projects, as well as digitally.

In past years she has been involved with the Richmond branch of Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School, exhibited a solo show at the Poe Museum, and designed posters and graphics for local productions and businesses such as Dogtown Dance Theatre and Henricus Historical Park.

In 2013 she co-founded RVA Krampusnacht with Parker Galore, inspiring dozens of large horned beasts to tromp down Cary Street in honor of the Alpine tradition. The "Yuletide Monsters" art show at Gallery 5 was to follow, bringing together local artists inspired by the mythology of the Krampus.

Although her most cherished influences are faeries and mythology, she also draws inspiration from music, historical events, literature, and artists such as Harry Clarke, Arthur Rackham, Jim Henson, Tim Burton, and Walt Disney. Once upon a time Nicole wanted to be an animator, but soon after graduating college she began her own illustration business instead and her travels have led her to have the most amazing adventures and meet the most interesting people.
